At smaller hotels a sales executive handles businesses from all market segments, He or she may deal with Travel agents, Tour operators, Event planners, Corporate guests, online travel agents and travel consortia.
Large hotels have specialized sales mangers and executives to handle different market segments. For example one sales manager and sales executive is only assigned to handle Corporate clients, another to handle travel and trade etc.
