History of rails- From history we get the information that the concept of railway was planned in Greece   in 6th century B.C. Rail way transport flourished after the British developed steam locomotives.  There was a great development of steam engine during industrial revolution. James Watt invented steam engine in the year of 1769. In the year of 1825 George Stevenson builds the locomotive Engines. In the year of 1880 electrical train was 1st introduced in European countries.
History of Indian railway In India railways   first flourished in the year of 1853 from   Mumbai to Thane.. In the year of 1951 Indian railway was nationalized & become one of the largest networks in the world.
Role of   rail in the Indian tourism-   The importance of railway in tourism is indispensible, In India trains are not only cheaper but also the reliable mode of transport to all places which are important or less important in the tourism industry. Railways influences tourism industry by offering various promotional schemes like tour package, luxurious trains, special trains etc.
Palace on wheels- It is the most luxurious train in India takes us to the exciting journey to the royal land of Rajasthan, Deccan Odyssey etc.
