While, Coonoor and Kodaikanal are popular hill stations in the Nilgiris, Coimbatore is a place with temples and monuments besides being a commercial center, famous for its textile industry. How to reach :


By Air : Coimbatore is the nearest airport to Ooty, which is at a distance of about 90 kms.


By Rail : The Ooty railway station is merely 2kms from the City Center and the other railway station is 46km away at Mettupalayam. There is also a toy train that connects Ooty with Mettupalayam and Coonoor, another famous hill station. Though it is not really the fastest wayto get there, but the guests can enjoy scenic beauty all along the way.
