Neelam Sanjiva Reddy (born 19 May, 1913 - death: June 1, 1996) is known as the sixth President of India. Neelam Sanjiva Reddy was the President of India who was a candidate for the post of President, and for the first time, the President was elected as the candidate for the second time. For the first time, they had to accept defeat due to very little difference due to V. V. Giri. Then it was made by the Congress for presidential candidates and lost unexpectedly. For the second time non-Congressmen made them candidates and won it. When Prime Minister Indira Gandhi gave VV Giri success in winning the presidential election, it was felt that Neelam Sanjiva Reddy has missed a chance, which will no longer be in his lifetime. But the estimations and claims of the Pandits of political leaders remained unfulfilled. The auspicious luck of destiny changed the lost warrior like Neelam Sanjiva Reddy into a victorious warrior. It came out as a chapter of Indian politics, which seems to represent uncertainty. Sanjeev Reddy was the only President of India who was elected uncontested.

He also left studies. Sanjeev Reddy also participated in the Civil Disobedience Movement. It became the center of attraction at that time, when he had satyagraha in student life. He was a member of Youth Congress. He also shared many Nationalist programs. During this period, he had to be punished several times in jail.

Political life
Neelam Sanjiva Reddy was very active at the age of twenty. As a skilled administrator in the state's politics, their influence was felt. He was elected General Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee in 1936 and has spent more than 10 years in this post. This proves that he was talented and had the qualities of leadership in him. Neelam Sanjiva Reddy also edited the functions of Ministry of Housing and Alcohol inhibition in Madras State. Then Kumarswami was the chief minister. It was from 1949 to 1951. In 1951, he resigned from the post of minister in order to participate in the election of the President of Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee. Neelam Sanjiva Reddy Professor NG in this election. The elected president was defeated by Ranga. This year, it became an elected member of 'All India Congress Working Committee' and 'Central Parliamentary Board'. In this way, they got national level image and status
Presidency
On March 26, 1977, Neelam Sanjiva Reddy was elected unanimously as the speaker of the Lok Sabha. But on 13 July 1977, he left the post because he was being nominated for the presidential post. Reddy had already made it clear that he would file nomination papers only if he is unanimously nominated for the presidential post. This time it was not in the mood to take any risk. They were scared of repeating the old history. Ultimately, all fears were proved and Neelam Sanjiva Reddy was unanimously elected the eighth president unopposed. All political parties chose him as President on the voice of conscience. Thus a unique political event has happened in this period. On 19th July 1977, the work of investigating the nomination papers was done. In addition to Reddy's nomination, there was a deficit. All on this basis were rejected. In total, 21 nominations were filed, some of which were not supported by the number of MLAs and MPs required by the candidates or the candidates did not deposit the security deposit of Rs.2500. The name could have been withdrawn on July 21 by 3 o'clock in the evening. Then at 3 o'clock 5 minutes the Election Officer informed the press that Neelam Sanjiva Reddy has won the elections unopposed. After this announcement, Reddy resigned from the membership of the Lok Sabha, which was required as per the rules. Before the midday on July 21, 1977, s. Hegde was made Lok Sabha Speaker.
Presidential Election
After the President was elected, Neelam Sanjiva Reddy gave a funny statement to the journalists, "The speaker is seen but he is not heard but the President is seen and heard only." Reddy assured that he would be the same president, but he would also be the President who also took the decision. I would like something new with silence. Neelam Sanjiva Reddy's 50-year-old political life was also with him after becoming the President. For this reason he was going to be very experienced and qualified president. He was elected unopposed in 1977 after the formation of the Janata Party government, at the time when there was almost no survival in the center of the Congress party. He discharged healthy historical traditions and maintained equal coordination and cooperation from the Congress party, when Congress came to power in 1980. In the meantime, Reddy, in the same way as the Presidential stipulation, had arranged for the constitutional post of the President for our performance in the form of our legendary leaders.

In his presidential career, Reddy made two prime ministers and held the three Prime Ministers. It was Prime Minister Morarji Desai, Chaudhary Charan Singh and Mrs. Indira Gandhi. Thus, Reddy completed his term with full dignity, then returned to his ideal home town, Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh. A few days ago he had organized a press briefing before he was relieved of the responsibilities of the presidential tenure. Reddy accepted the press conference that he was feeling lonely when the Janata Party split due to intermittent reasons. The scam of the Janata Party, the resignation by Morarji Desai and the incidents of Chaudhary Charan Singh becoming Prime Minister and coming to the minority are very tragic. In view of these incidents, Reddy clarified that he had an emergency and had to take decisions on every occasion according to the President's constitutional limitations. Then using their discretion power, they made very difficult decisions.
Foreign Trips
Neelam Sanjiva Reddy has traveled to many countries, including West Germany, Australia, U. The names of K., France, Hungary, Poland, Canada, Peru, Nepal, Uganda, Zambia, Kenya and America are notable.
Degree

Death
After completing his tenure on July 25, 1982, Neelam Sanjiva Reddy was released from the responsibilities of the President. He passed away on June 1, 1996 after almost 14 years. If we look at Reddy's life story, he must admit that he has always obeyed his dignity even while living in politics. Thus, the life of Neelam Sanjiva Reddy is seen in many colors. But his discipline value as nationalist thinking and politician has certainly been praiseworthy. Even as a President, he successfully discharged the constitutional boundaries. It has been such a mother of Mother India who is proud of every Indian.
