Gyani Zail Singh (Born May 5, 1916; dated December 25, 1994) Sikh religion scholars had served as Chief Minister of Punjab. He crossed the political difficult path of his will, power of integrity and reached India's presidency. In 1982, he was elected as the proud proud President of India. During his tenure till 1987, he had to undergo unfortunate circumstances like 'Blue Star Operation' and Indira Gandhi's assassination.
Life Introduction Birth
He was born on 5 May 1916 in Sandhwa village of Faridkot district in Punjab. Gyan Gali Singh's childhood name was Jarnail Singh. Father used to farm. He was the son of a farmer who solved, used to harvest crops, feed cattle and perform various farm work, one day became the President of India. It is very unusual and proved it and Giani Zail Singh became the eighth President of the country.

Education
GYani Zail Singh's schooling was not completed even as he started learning Urdu, then he started reading Gurmukhi with father's opinion. In the meantime, he came in contact with a Paramahansa monk. For more than eighty years, he got a lot of learning and reading. Then, playing the song, playing the harmonium, learning to play harmonium by washing clothes of a harmonium player, learning to play his food. The father gave the opinion that if you come to sing, then do kirtan, read the gurvaan. On this, Jarnail Singh decided to become a 'glandier' ​​and the school education was missed. They became the 'Professional Reader' of the Guru Granth Sahib. From this, the title of 'Gnani' was found. Zail Singh also had to go to jail to protest the ban on Saber by the British. There he got his name known as Jail Singh. Jail Singh's name became famous on his release.
President of India
When Mr. Neelam Sanjiva Reddy's term expired in 1982, Giani Ji was elected the eighth President of the country. He took oath of office on July 25, 1982. During his tenure, killing of Operation Blue Star and Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in Golden Temple Complex in Amritsar is a major event. After the murder of Indira, Rajiv Gandhi administered the oath of office to the Prime Minister himself. Though the news of tension began to appear in the relations between the President and the Prime Minister in the last days, but Giani kept his balance. His tenure was completed on July 25, 1987.
Death
GYani Zail Singh died on December 25, 1994, due to injuries to a road accident.
