Lumbini Park

Lumbini Park is a small urban park in Hyderabad, India. It is located in the center of the city located near to Birla Mandir and Necklace Road. Lumbini Park was constructed in 1994, the park is maintained by the Buddha Purnima Project Authority that functions under the directives of the Government of Telangana. The park shows a variety of flowering plants and numerous cacti. It's a good place to relax and amuse.

An interesting feature at Lumbini Park Hyderabad is the huge clock decorated with colorful flowers located at the entry point. The musical fountain has two shows per day (7.15pm and 8pm), is an added attraction, which entices more visitors and tourists. Tourists can enjoy boat rides by paying prescribed amount at the counter. Nearby attractions include Birla Mandir and Hussain Sagar Lake. A royal statue of standing Lord Buddha made of granite is installed in the middle of the lake and can well be called a true epitome of beauty. This lake has been widely acclaimed for being the largest artificial lake of Asia and draws a number of people for its beauty and boating activities.

How to reach :

Lumbini Park is located nearly 3 km from Nampally railway station and 6 km from Secunderabad railway station. Roads are well linked with important cities and states. You can also hire rented cars or taxis to your desired destination. Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Kachiguda Railway Station are the three important points to board trains for different locations.
