Shankardayal Sharma was the ninth President of India He was born in Bhopal. His father 'Mr. Khushalal Sharma' was a Vaidya. Shankardayal Sharma was the first person from Madhya Pradesh to become the President of India on his scholarship, his long political understanding, dedication and country-love. He participated primarily in 'India's War of Independence'. Shankardayal Sharma assumed the charge of the post of President of India in 1992 AD.

Education

Political Life

In 1942 when Mahatma Gandhi called on the call of the Quit India Movement, all India's world stood up, he too became a soldier. Then they were sentenced to imprisonment by the court of Bhopal. President
Shankar Dayal Sharma was elected unopposed on August 21, 1987 as Vice President and took oath of office on 3 September 1987. Subsequently Dr. Sharma was elected to the post of President on July 16, 1992 and on July 25, 1992, he was sworn in as the highest post of the country.
Death
In the last five years of his life, Dr. Shankardayal Sharma had been quite disturbed by the falling health. He died on December 26, 1999 due to a heart attack.
